Canterbury School has become the first Cousteau Divers partner school in world.

The Canterbury School in St. Petersburg, a private college-prep pre-K-12 school, has renamed its 2,800-sq.-ft. Marine Studies Education Center the Cousteau Center for Marine Studies after becoming the first Cousteau Divers partner school in the world. The affiliation allows Canterbury students to do scientific research in the Gulf of Mexico for Cousteau Divers, an international group that promotes marine conservation. The day after the renaming ceremony in May, Canterbury students went on a diving expedition with Pierre Yves Cousteau, the youngest son of famed underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau.
